RSA Launches QDirect at Xplor 2002

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, New York, October 23, 2002 - Rochester Software Associates (RSA), providers of innovative digital document solutions, announced today that it will launch QDirectTM at the XPLOR Conference at the Anaheim Convention Center, October 28 - 30. QDirect is a robust print manager used to control workflow, route jobs and manage print queues. Demonstrations of QDirect and other RSA solutions will be available in the RSA exhibit, booth #1234. QDirect enables organizations to consolidate print from desktop, departments, and data centers to a single point and distribute the output to production, workgroup or desktop printers. The QDirect server acts as a single pass through point for all mainframe and network jobs. Jobs are tagged with requirements as they are submitted to QDirect. Destination printers are assigned capabilities, and jobs are either routed automatically to available printers fulfilling print job requirements, or are distributed by an operator. Since jobs are always archived on the QDirect server, it’s easy to manage and reprint jobs without processing delays at the host. "RSA developed QDirect to satisfy our customers’ growing desire to balance workloads at multiple locations, and produce jobs from any host to any printer. By integrating QDirect with RSA’s data transform products: M.I.S. Print, IPDSPrint and DTPrint, customers have the added ability to convert multiple data streams prior to distributing the output. This integrated solution will reduce costs by enabling the organization to share print resources, consolidate print centers and ensure maximum printer productivity," stated Tim Kelly, RSA Senior Vice President. Rochester Software Associates delivers innovative digital document printing solutions for production, viewing and management of output and data that enhance productivity and lower costs. Founded in 1986, the company’s products include Internet-based print job submission and fulfillment (WebCRD), print transform (M.I.S. Print, IPDSPrint, DTPrint) and production print management (QDirect), as well as networking, application integration, and database development projects. All RSA products are backed by its 100% guarantee. Industry leaders such as Xerox Corporation, IBM, Heidelberg, IKON, Canon, and Océ sell RSA products.
