Group Logic Offers License Program for ExtremeZ-IP

Press release from the issuing company

Arlington, VA -- Group Logic, the leading provider of Mac/Windows connectivity solutions today unveiled a new licensing option for ExtremeZ-IP - its industry-leading software solution for seamlessly integrating Mac desktops into Window server environments. The Enterprise License Program (ELP) for ExtremeZ-IP is designed to be a cost-effective licensing solution for medium to large-scale enterprises needing a quick and easy deployment of ExtremeZ-IP across their enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.

ELP is designed to meet the needs of organizations actively seeking to reduce software asset management costs, and is optimized for medium to large-scale enterprises, as well as government and education institutions. Under the program, customers will receive a single license key to deploy ExtremeZ-IP throughout the organization on any number of Windows servers.

The ELP model is designed to deliver customers a decreased Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and increased Return on Investment (ROI) of the entire IT infrastructure. Customers who select the ELP can in turn make ExtremeZ-IP a standard part of new Windows Server implementations, eliminating the need to procure new software with each file server deployment. ELP also minimizes the time required for administrator management.

"The ExtremeZ-IP Enterprise Licensing Program is a logical choice for organizations of any size that seek the flexibility and efficiency of managing a few hundred to several thousand Mac users," said Reid Lewis, CEO of Group Logic, Inc. "ExtremeZ-IP is the proven standard for Mac/Windows compatibility for those companies looking to deliver platform-agnostic file and print sharing support for their users. This new licensing model gives our customers a new, cost-effective approach for delivering compatibility without compromise."

ExtremeZ-IP is used by thousands of customers worldwide who depend on it for reliable file sharing between Mac desktops and Windows servers. It delivers no-compromise access, providing complete platform and application compatibility. ExtremeZ-IP is the only Windows-based server software today that actively supports all Mac OS versions from OS 9 to OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and Windows Server 2008. Group Logic's solution is especially critical for these mixed desktop environments because of the removal of Services for Mac, Print Services for Mac and the AppleTalk protocol from Windows Server 2008.

The ExtremeZ-IP Enterprise License Program requires a minimum two-year commitment, with pricing based on the number of Macs in the organization.
