Designed to promote the sale of DDAP products, which support the adoption of accredited file formats in digital workflows, the DDAP WebStore will give immediate web access to DDAP PDF/X Verifier 2.0, "Digital Delivers" interactive training software and TIFF/IT Checker. Programmed by magSend using eSellerate technology, the DDAP WebStore offers several new capabilities. It allows you to ‘Try’ software for seven days before purchasing, ‘Buy’ software conveniently by credit card and ‘Download’ software for immediate use. "We are especially excited about the automation it brings to DDAP product fulfillment," reports Barbara Hanapole, DDAP Executive Director. "magSend has been a ‘godsend’ in the website support they have provided DDAP since June, 2002. The collaboration of magSend programmer, Chris Frey in the design of the DDAP WebStore has helped automate the DDAP administrative system, which in turn, will enable us to focus more energy on the critical aspects of the DDAP mission." "We are proud to help DDAP work towards their goal of facilitating the transition to digital ad workflows through accredited file formats and member education, and in some small way, further the mission of the DDAP," says Mark Weiss, President of magSend. Headlining the list of available products is the newly released version of DDAP PDF/X Verifier 2.0. Developed by Total Integration, Inc., PDF/X Verifier is designed to streamline PDF/X adoption by enabling users to verify that files received in this format meet the requirements of the ISO 15930-1:2001 published specification. "We envision this software being extremely useful to developers and users alike," states Alan Darling, DDAP Chair. "As PDF/X goes into full implementation, this tool will allow developers to test their software against the published standard. It will also give users confidence in integrating this standard with their digital workflows." "DDAP PDF/X Verifier version 2.0 has undergone rigorous testing," reports DDAP Testing Committee Chair, Frank Scott. "We encountered several challenges developing this product to support the PDF/X-1a standard, but we can now rest assured that end users will have a powerful tool, capable of detecting any errors in supplied PDF/X-1a files. We look forward to the next release which will support the newly published ISO 15930-3:2002 (PDF/X-3) standard." Other products offered for sale in the DDAP WebStore are "Digital Delivers," DDAP’s own interactive training software and TIFF/IT Checker. Released in May 2002, "Digital Delivers" is making great inroads into company training programs. Designed to educate staff, customers and suppliers on the advantages of using standard accredited file formats in digital delivery, "Digital Delivers" interactive software steps you through all the DDAP-recommended workflows and provides a solid foundation for building your digital ad strategy.
