PIA/GATF Nominates Two Officers for 2003

ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA (October 1, 2002) – The Printing Industries of America, Inc. (PIA) and the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) announced the nominations of two key officers who will be sworn in this fall in New Orleans. Eric Delzer of Delzer Lithograph Company in Waukesha, WI will serve as the 2003 2nd Vice-Chairman for PIA/GATF Board of Directors. The president of Delzer Lithograph, Delzer has 32 years of experience in the printing industry. In addition, he has been a member of the board of directors of the Printing Industries of Wisconsin for 15 years including previously serving as chairman. On the national level, Delzer has served on the board of directors of PIA since 1993. He is also actively involved in his community, sitting on the board of the Wisconsin chapter of Academic Achievement. Delzer holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Jim Mayes of Colorcraft of Virginia, Inc. in Sterling, VA will serve as the 2003 Secretary for GATF. He is the president of Colorcraft of Virginia, Inc., a mid-sized, high-end commercial printing company. Prior to acquiring Colorcraft in 1986, Jim was vice president of sales for two area commercial printers. He has been active in the Virginia PIA affiliate, serving as chairman in 1996. He currently represents Virginia on the PIA board of directors. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from American University in Washington, D.C. "PIA and GATF are extremely honored that Eric Delzer and Jim Mayes have agreed to take on officer positions within our consolidated organizations," says Michael Makin, the first CEO of PIA/GATF. "Both gentleman have a long and dedicated history of serving our industry and will be immense assets in the continuation of the consolidation process." The installation ceremonies will take place on November 17, 2002 at the PIA/GATF Fall Administrative Meeting in New Orleans, LA.
