KPG Names William DeMarco as Worldwide Director Consulting and Solutions

New business unit will help customers reduce costs and improve profitability Norwalk, Connecticut, USA – Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) today announced the appointment of William E. DeMarco to the newly created position of Worldwide Director, Consulting and Solutions Business. DeMarco will manage development and implementation of a global KPG consulting business focused on helping customers improve efficiency and profitability. He currently serves as KPG’s Worldwide Product Manager, Digital Halftone Proofing Hardware and Systems. "In today’s environment of rapidly changing technology, customers need a true partner that can help them make critical decisions about their business. KPG has a depth of technical expertise and business knowledge throughout the world, and we want to leverage those resources for the benefit of our customers," said Jeff Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer. "Bill’s past experience as a consultant in the graphics industry and his deep knowledge of the challenges our customers face make him uniquely suited to fill the requirements of this new role." DeMarco will also be responsible for creating a global offering of workflow solutions to include both existing and new software and color management tools. Reporting to Vic Stalam, KPG’s Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, DeMarco’s efforts will be closely coordinated with KPG’s five regions around the world and with its wholly owned subsidiary, Tech Services International (TSI). DeMarco has 25 years of experience in the industry, including an extensive background in prepress management and operations. He began his career as a Graphic Art Engineer for Hallmark Cards, Inc. and went on to work for several leading printing companies, including Case-Hoyt Corporation, W.A. Krueger Company (now Quebecor World), The Hennegan Company and Avanti/Case-Hoyt. He operated his own consulting business, DeMarco Associates, for three years before joining Eastman Kodak in 1997. At the formation of KPG in 1998, DeMarco accepted worldwide responsibility for the Kodak Approval Digital Halftone Proofing System product line. DeMarco holds an M.B.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University’s Graduate School of Industrial Administration and a B.S. from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has been granted three patents with several pending and has spoken at numerous industry association meetings including the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts, Asia Pacific Technovision, Seybold, American Newspaper Publishing Association, Printing Industries of America Web Offset Section and the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation.
