GATF/PIA Launches Redesigned Web Portal GAIN 2.0

Press release from the issuing company

Alexandria, VA (September 25, 2002) – The Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) and the Printing Industries of America, Inc. (PIA) proudly announce GAIN 2.0, now available at www.gain.net. GAIN 2.0 is the next generation Web portal providing valuable printing and graphic arts information via the Internet. New features include a more robust, inclusive search engine. When users enter an industry term or keyword (i.e., color management), the entire site will be searched and results are sorted by area: content, publications, and meetings. The redesigned GAIN Bookstore features book covers and expanded content information. Industry professionals can keep their professional growth on track with the new GAIN Learning Center. The Learning Center includes access to online courses, industry job descriptions, and school information. Find out about workshops and meetings in the redesigned Training and Meetings section. And check back for Message Boards to share information and ideas with other industry professionals. "The release of GAIN 2.0 is just another example of GATF/PIA helping printers to stay ahead of the curve and provide outstanding products and services for its customers," says Michael Murphy, Chair of the GAIN Committee and President of Japs-Olson in St. Louis Park, MN. "Log on as a registered GATF/PIA member and see everything that GAIN 2.0 has to offer," says Theresa Kramer-Burgess, Director of Internet Communications for GATF/PIA. "GAIN 2.0 is just the latest milestone in GATF/PIA’s continuing commitment to reach the industry and provide member service via the Internet. Together with the GAIN Committee we will continue to provide more value through GAIN," promises Murphy.
