Heidelberg Previews GRAPH EXPO: 110-seat Theatre Centerpiece

KENNESAW, Ga., Sept. 23, 2002 – With nearly a football field of space humming with the latest printing technology, Heidelberg’s presence at this year’s GRAPH EXPO and CONVERTING EXPO, Oct. 6-9, in Chicago, promises to be its most exciting to date. Fourteen Heidelberg presses – including sheetfed, web and digital – will be on display with more than 50 live demo jobs running. Equipment will be networked with new Heidelberg prepress workflow tools and integrated with new finishing equipment. "Our goal is to show printers how they can connect their passion for the art of printing with technology that creates a productive and profitable business," said Niels Winther, president of Heidelberg USA. "We will present solutions that are available now and adaptable to future business demands." Heidelberg Presentation Reflects Shifting Industry Paradigm The centerpiece of the Heidelberg exhibit, Booth 1000, will be a 110-seat state-of-the-art theatre where guests can enjoy an interactive presentation that will address the revolutionary changes occurring in the industry. "This year’s presentation will address a paradigm shift for the entire print industry and promises to generate lively discussion among the thousands of industry professionals attending the show," Winther said. The presentation, which will include cinematic and live components, will feature a 30’ wide projection screen. Heidelberg Continues Commitment to Education Heidelberg is living up to its reputation as a leading industry educator through free seminars, workshops and presentations being presented during the conference. A special Heidelberg Print Media Academy Pavilion will host respected industry experts presenting free seminars throughout each day of the show. Also daily, Solution Center areas located in the Heidelberg exhibit space will feature expert presentations to address the wide range of print industry business models and needs. Heidelberg’s Exhibition Space Largest of Show With 38,000 feet of exhibition space, Heidelberg’s 2002 Graph Expo exhibit is the largest of the show. The space will be easy to navigate with clear signage, maps distributed in a variety of locations and a large second story balcony providing a bird’s eye view.
