Centurfax Limited to Debut Prova Digital at Graph Expo, Chicago

Press release from the issuing company

Centurfax Limited, London, England, has announced the formation of a new company, Prova Digital Limited, to promote the proofing software products, which it acquired from Pixelis Ltd. The first opportunity for the US market to see the latest version of the Prova application software will be at the forthcoming Graph Expo exhibition in Chicago on the Centurfax booth #3769. Centurfax’s US distributor for DotMeters, GRIPdigital Inc, will be exhibiting the popular CCDot and FlexoDot range of quality control products on booth #5214 and on numerous other CtP vendor stands around the show. Centurfax announced the acquisition of the Pixelis ProofROOM, ProofCreator, and DigiSeps products at IPEX earlier this year. The products will now be marketed under the ProvaROOM, ProvaRIP, and ProvaDigiSeps names. "We have made some significant advances with the product since announcing the acquisition," said Bob Leslie, managing director of Prova and Centurfax. "The ProvaROOM software has now been completely re-compiled and is running significantly more efficiently and more productively than the original product." With regard to GraphExpo, Mr Leslie added, "We have decided that we should take this opportunity to let the US market see the new Prova products as soon as possible. GraphExpo will provide us with the ideal opportunity to source competent representation in the American market. We will be discussing distribution with contacts that we already have in the US as well as looking at alternative distribution solutions." ProvaROOM is a Mac-based Rip-Once-Output-Many proofing system that utilises the same RIPped file for both the proof and final output, removing the worry of missing or corrupted data. This is the ideal tool for a busy repro environment where perfect matching, first time, every time is important. The product is suitable for working with a wide range of inkjet printers. ProvaRIP is an independent "repro friendly" raster image processor that can be used in the creative market place to provide first-time proofs that can easily be matched at final output. Equally ProvaRIP can be used within a repro company where the main RIP output can be easily matched. This provides simple data integrity in a parallel workflow, providing even faster output. Prova products are based on the standard ICC profiling system and therefore avoid all the pitfalls of existing proprietary proofing systems that can be difficult to track and support.
