Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –– Japanese print providers now can use a specialized version of the Heidelberg Digimaster 9110 Network Imaging System that reliably handles Japanese paper stocks and offers an easy-to-use, native-language interface. Available immediately in the Tokyo market, the optimized Digimaster 9110 system includes a user interface and print drivers for both Macintosh and Windows operating systems displayed in Japanese (Kanji, Katakana, Hiragana characters). The Japanese version also includes an optimized paper path that is designed to handle the variety of Japanese paper stocks — including recycled papers — predominantly used by Japan printers. "This optimized Digimaster system provides a big step in productivity for our Japanese customers," said Wolfgang Pfizenmaier, president of Heidelberg’s Digital Solution Center. "Japan as a market understands the benefits of high-volume digital printing, and Digimaster system users there will be able to provide those benefits to their customers. In the end, they will see the same profitability and competitive advantages that Heidelberg customers in other parts of the world are realizing." About the Digimaster 9110 system The Heidelberg Digimaster 9110 Network Imaging System employs high-definition imaging technology to deliver documents with fine text and rich graphics at 600 x 600 dots per inch, at a rate of 110 images per minute.
