ROCHESTER, N.Y. –– Japanese print providers now can use a specialized version of the Heidelberg Digimaster 9110 Network Imaging System that reliably handles Japanese paper stocks and offers an easy-to-use, native-language interface. Available immediately in the Tokyo market, the optimized Digimaster 9110 system includes a user interface and print drivers for both Macintosh and Windows operating systems displayed in Japanese (Kanji, Katakana, Hiragana characters). The Japanese version also includes an optimized paper path that is designed to handle the variety of Japanese paper stocks — including recycled papers — predominantly used by Japan printers. "This optimized Digimaster system provides a big step in productivity for our Japanese customers," said Wolfgang Pfizenmaier, president of Heidelberg’s Digital Solution Center. "Japan as a market understands the benefits of high-volume digital printing, and Digimaster system users there will be able to provide those benefits to their customers.
