Imprenta Llorens perfect binds with a new AmigoPlus in Puerto Rico

Press release from the issuing company

Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico — Imprenta Llorens, Inc., one of the island’s most technologically astute printers has begun manufacturing adhesive bound books on a new AmigoPlus perfecting binding system from Muller Martini. A menu-driven control system on the AmigoPlus guides Imprenta Llorens operators quickly through the perfect binding process. A milling and spine preparation station and a separate hotmelt side gluing unit ensure the structure and integrity of every book. Designed for one-person operation, AmigoPlus can produce as many as 1,500 perfect bound books per hour. An optional premelter facilitates the refilling of the spine glue pot without stopping production.
