CRC Success at LabelExpo, Shows Functionality of THE System

Press release from the issuing company

ROSEMONT, IL (September 16, 2002)–CRC Information Systems, Inc. (CRC) exhibited the newest version of THE System at LabelExpo September 10-12, 2002. Attendees were astonished with CRC’s comprehensive label-specific software package as other exhibitors lacked fulfillment applications as well as fully-integrated Web-based quotation software. “For us LabelExpo 2002 was truly one of the most exciting events with which we have been involved,” reported CRC’s Vice President of Sales Glen Forbes. “It provided us with the ideal forum to showcase the features and benefits that separate THE System from all other graphic arts business management systems.” With more and more label printers handling fulfillment services for their clients, one of the hottest topics was the ability to create an infrastructure to handle finished goods inventory. “CRC’s finished goods and fulfillment services applications really set us apart from the competition,” remarked Forbes. “A significant percentage of the attendees that visited our booth came from companies that are currently utilizing software from other LabelExpo exhibitors. They came to us looking for a better way to manage their customer-owned and stock items – and they found it.” CRC’s integrated suite of finished goods module s is specifically designed to accommodate the increased information and product management requirements that are an inherent part of fulfillment services. From fully-integrated Web-based order entry and inventory management modules to item-driven estimating and tracking applications, THE System provides graphic arts firms with the infrastructure that is absolutely critical to effective fulfillment management. CRC’s e-Finished Goods Order Entry module provid es buyers a fully- integrated Web interface to manage their finished goods inventory. A few of the features include submitting production requests, releasing inventory, monitoring job status, tracking shipments, and receiving e-mail acknowledgements when jobs are ordered and shipped. The capabilities of the aforementioned applications can be extended further with the use of the Finished Goods Specifications module that allows each label that is produced to be assigned a part number which helps eliminate multiple quotes for a single label and preserves the production details of every label that is produced. The Finished Goods Specifications module enables companies to store detailed profiles of every label ranging from press configurations and run speeds to how the job was packed and shipped. “No one else can provide label printers and other graphic arts firms with the finished goods and fulfillment-specific tools that CRC has to offer. Our integration, power, and ease of use are unmatched, and we proved it this week.” Another unique element of CRC’s e-commerce suite is the e-Label Printing Quotation Entry module which offers a Web interface for entering specifications and is fully integrated with THE System’s Label Estimating module. A buyer simply enters a few pieces of information such as shape, finish size, colors, substrates, quantities, and usage. Once the buyer submits the specifications, the estimator can be notified automatically via e-mail or can check THE System’s RFQ reports. Customer specifications can be quickly copied into an estimate, and an estimated price can be calculated in seconds. Once the estimate has been generated the estimator or sales rep can e-mail or fax a quote to the customer from the convenience of their workstation. Because of THE System’s intelligence and tight integration, this entire process requires no redundant entry and can be completed in just a few short minutes.
