Ramallo Bros. Printing Adds New Book Sewing Capacity

Press release from the issuing company

San Juan, Puerto Rico — Ramallo Bros. Printing, the leading graphic arts production facility in the Caribbean, is creating more durable book signatures with a new InventaPlus sewing system from Muller Martini. InventaPlus uses a patented sealing process that uses adjustable heat to secure the threads that bind each signature. The result: More efficient production and a tighter grip between the first and last signatures even without blind stitching. The system will provide productivity benefits to Ramallo Bros. Printing as well. It runs at a maximum speed of 200 cycles per minute and can process up to 12,000 signatures per hour. Standard, staggered, or combined staggered sewing, with or without blind stitching, can be accommodated. Inventa’s versatility fits in well with the one-stop-shopping philosophy that Ramallo Bros. Printing offers it customers. The company provides a full range of graphic arts services, ranging from high-volume directory production to high-end commercial printing.
