Press release from the issuing company

SAN FRANCISCO -Sept. 9, 2002--Electronics For Imaging's latest digital and mobile printing technology innovations will be on display at the Seybold trade show this week in San Francisco at the Moscone Center. EFI's industry-leading Fiery controllers, specialized color management tools, and the breakthrough PrintMe Networks mobile and Internet printing solution are among the EFI products to be demonstrated in partner booths throughout the show floor. Now available through EFI's many OEM partners, the Fiery Z5 and Z18 color servers and embedded Fiery X3e controller deliver speed and quality to mid-range and high-end production print engines. These latest Fiery platforms are optimized for the new Fiery System 5 software, featuring cutting-edge color management, sophisticated job processing capabilities, expanded variable data printing (VDP) support, and an optional suite of specialized tools for graphic arts professionals -- the Fiery Graphic Arts Package. The Fiery Spark Professional 2.0 software RIP, which now drives the Epson Stylus 10000 and 10600 wide format devices, will be demonstrated in Epson's booth (#1412). The Fiery Spark Pro features custom media support, drag-and-drop hot folders for automated workflow activities, and EFI's in-RIP color management system for high-quality color proofing. PrintMe Networks, EFI's new mobile printing technology that enables the printing of documents from any mobile device -- such as PDAs, portable PCs and cell phones -- to any PrintMe-enabled printer, will be featured in Adobe's Partner Pavilion in booth (#1501). A demonstration of the embedded PrintMe solution can also be seen in the Canon booth (#1201).
