Superior Printing Ink Introduces Elite, a New Groundbreaking Ink Series

Press release from the issuing company

NEW YORK, NY (September 4, 2002) - Superior Printing Ink Co., Inc. America's premier sheetfed ink manufacturer, has introduced Elite, a breakthrough ink that combines high quality color reproduction with ease of printability. Elite was created using state-of-the-art pigment and resin technologies, with the fewest additives and raw ingredients possible. It is a fast setting, stay-open process series that performs well on a vast array of presses. The ink possesses exceptional setting speed and rub resistant characteristics that provide much faster makeready. It has accelerated work and turn properties that ultimately get a job into the bindery faster. Elite prints well on a variety of stocks, including matte paper, without rubbing. It is also ideal for projects that require applications such as aqueous coating, film and liquid lamination and UV off-line coating. "Elite is the result of going into the lab and getting back to the basics of pure ingredients, to develop a unique ink product that really makes an impact. The printing industry is undergoing revolutionary technological changes in terms of what gets printed, how it is printed and on what substrates. One of the most exciting and challenging responsibilities we have is to keep pace by creating new inks that stand up to those technological demands. Elite is an example of how we meet that challenge," said Stephen Simpson, Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer. This conventional ink series has been developed to have press stable properties and consistently delivers high definition, low and balanced dot gain. Elite is targeted for sheetfed process work in all plants.
