Maryland Credit Union Selects Webb/Mason as Preferred Print Provider

Press release from the issuing company

Streamlined system for effective management of print inventory BALTIMORE, MD - September 4, 2002 -- Webb/Mason, an enterprise print management provider, was recently selected by the State Employees Credit Union of Maryland (SECU) to effectively manage print inventory for the largest credit union in the state. SECU, a full-service financial institution, serves over 223,000 members and manages over one billion dollars in assets. To implement the new enterprise management program, Webb/Mason worked closely with SECU to develop a customized reporting system, which provides detailed account activity. SECU wanted to reduce the number of items in their inventory and increase accountability of their print-management vendor. Utilizing Webb/Mason’s Enterprise Print Management program, SECU is able to view detailed information about account activity. The Enterprise Print Management program developed by Webb/Mason also delivers substantial cost savings for SECU. By providing SECU with a summary bill that is imported directly into SECU’s general ledger, Webb/Mason reduces the time to process hundreds of invoices monthly and reduces overall costs. "Working with SECU has provided us with an opportunity to customize the reports we provide for customers---this allows SECU to view a truer picture of their account activity," comments Dan Cahill, vice president of sales for Webb/Mason in Baltimore and account executive for SECU. "By managing inventory efficiently, Webb/Mason is able to reduce the quantity of materials being held by SECU while reducing the cost of those materials." "Transitioning a print program of this size is a difficult proposition," remarked Jeanette Vajita, purchasing manager SECU. "Webb/Mason’s strong response to our request for information and proven track record of managing account transitions eased our concerns. As a financial institution, we cannot afford a disruption in services. Webb/Mason not only completed the transition but they have also given us the information we need to better manage our print universe while reducing our costs." Webb/Mason provides customers with an Enterprise Print Management Center, which allows users within an organization to streamline the procurement of printed and branded materials more effectively. Corporate end-users can release items from inventory, customize and order stationery, business cards, brochures and promotional items. Webb/Mason’s service allows buyers and managers to manage inventories and ensure brand integrity throughout an organization.
