Roll Systems Supports IBIS Digi-Stitcher for In-Line Book Making

Press release from the issuing company

Burlington, MA (August 29, 2002) - Roll Systems announces support for the IBIS Digi-stitcher DST2 in-line saddle stitcher. Roll's Roll-to-Sheet System combines with the Digi-stitcher and any high-speed IBM, Océ, or Xerox continuous form printer to comprise a complete in-line book manufacturing system. "Roll is pleased to announce support for the IBIS Digi-stitcher," says Jules Fried, vice president of Roll Systems. "Our customers are increasingly interested in solutions that enable them to create finished products. Partnering with recognized leaders in our industry is one way we help supply them." "We are impressed with the performance of the Roll Systems guillotine cutter and its ease of operation. Its ability to deliver square sheets with even spacing will help ensure that the books delivered by the Digi-stitcher are of optimum quality," says John Cracknell, managing director of IBIS Integrated Bindery Systems Ltd. The Roll-to-Sheet System consists of a Roll Systems quick-change Unwinder to feed the printer and a Roll Cutter to sheet printed output. The Roll-to-Sheet System connects to the Digi-stitcher in two configurations, one dedicated to producing saddle-stitched books and the other allowing alternate non-stitched sheet delivery.
