iPrint Technologies Responds to ImageX Lawsuit

Press release from the issuing company

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 29, 2002 -- iPrint Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of online and offline marketing and customized branding solutions, today denied the allegations raised in the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington by ImageX on August 26, 2002 against iPrint for infringement of U.S. Patent Number 6,429,947, which covers technology that automates the pre-press process. ImageX's recent lawsuit is based on a patent that was issued on August 6, 2002. iPrint has not yet had an opportunity to fully evaluate this new patent, but believes that ImageX's claims are without merit. iPrint intends to vigorously defend these allegations. Founded in 1996, iPrint is one of the original companies in the e-printing space, and the roots of iPrint's own proprietary technology are deep. iPrint currently has a number of pending patent applications relating to its technology, and expects those applications to issue in due course.
