Web4Print Launches Software and Service in Scandinavia at PubTech 2002

Press release from the issuing company

Web4Print, a new desktop publishing tool for designing and generating a wide variety of customizable document templates using free software and the Internet, will be launched in Scandinavia at PubTech, Stockholm in September 2002. The free Web4Print Software is available on CD from the stand or can be downloaded from www.web4print.com. The software on its own can be used as a normal publishing package to create high quality documents, which can be printed locally, all at no cost. Created documents can then be used in connection with the online Web4Print ŒPay As You Go‚ Service, by specifying what elements are customizable by other users. All that‚s required to create new documents is a web browser and access to the Internet. Documents of any size, with variable data (text, images, and typefaces) and all with spot/full colour can be created. According to Bill McConnell, Managing Director of Web4Print: "Web4Print can create significant pre-print production savings for printers and corporates. There is no investment in hardware or software needed for either the print company or their clients. You can produce brochures, flyers, posters, advertisements, price lists, menus, direct marketing, corporate stationery and much, much more, all with content which is customized to the needs of your specific target market." He continues by stating that the "unique capabilities of the Web4Print Service will allow printers to add significant levels of value to their offering. Clients can access document templates via a user name and password over the web. They can then edit the document through their browser and proof the PDF for free as many times as they like before sending it to their printer. All that is charged for are the finished print-ready pages generated by the Web4Print server."
