Visual Systems Receives Gold Ink Awards

MILWAUKEE – Visual Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of book components, overhead transparencies and ancillary products for educational and supplemental textbooks, has received numerous awards in the Gold Ink Awards competition. Co-sponsored by PrintMedia and Printing Impressions magazines, the annual competition is highly regarded in the printing industry. Visual Systems received two awards for its self-promotional "Natural Color Hexachrome“ Print Series." The pieces within the series include a six-color process instead of the traditional four-color process. The company’s "Write Time for Kids," an on-demand overhead transparency product, was also honored. Visual Systems was also recognized for its "Elements of Writing, Fourth Edition," a softbound book cover printed for Holt, Rinehart and Winston; and "Science Grade 2 Transparencies," a four-color overhead transparency program in a printed envelope for McGraw Hill School Division. "It’s an honor to be one of the few recipients of a Gold Ink Award this year," said Brad Brogan, national sales manager for Visual Systems. More than 1,800 entries were submitted in 40 categories for this year’s Gold Ink Awards.
