PIA-MidAmerica Announces Moore Scholarship Winners

Dallas – (August 20, 2002) - Nine students were awarded over $17,000 in scholarships from the Nolan Moore Memorial Education Foundation this past June. Recipients were: Prince Alvior, University of Houston – Houston, TX; Melissa Banda, Eastfield College – Mesquite, TX; Justin Bass, Texas A&M University – Commerce, TX; Thirza David, University of Houston – Houston, TX; Brad Light, Texas A&M University – Commerce, TX; Adam Marcotte, Pittsburg State University – Pittsburg, KS; Elisabeth Meyer, College of the Ozarks – Point Lookout, MO; Christopher M. Murray, and Jonathan P. Shipman, Texas A&M University – Commerce,TX. Students must attend or plan to attend an accredited printing management or technology program. Annual scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 are awarded on the basis of class standings, academic achievement, and financial need. Since its inception in 1995, the Foundation has awarded over $143,000 in scholarships to college students, as well as continuing education grants for industry managers attending PIA’s Executive Development Program.
