CRC Releases Version 20.0 of Warehouse Management Module

Press release from the issuing company

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (August 12, 2002)–CRC Information Systems, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce the release of version 20.0 of the Warehouse Management module. This new release integrates seamlessly with CRC’s standard finished goods and Web-enabled fulfillment applications to provide graphic arts firms with detailed production and release tracking and management by job and line item. When a release order is entered into THE System either from the printer’s Web site or from the internal order entry system, Warehouse Management uses intelligent picking routines to generate FIFO-based pick tickets. These routines review job records to determine which lots were produced first and specify those lots for picking. The pick routine can be overridden by the user if circumstances warrant that a more recent production lot be released first. Once the order has been picked it can be shipped directly from the Warehouse Management module with multiple releases being ganged together on a single bill of lading. Specific lots of items can be given an on-hold status to signify that they have been produced but are not available for release. By distributing items to an on-hold bin in the quality control department this feature allows companies to more effectively manage their QC procedures by not allowing items to be picked and shipped prior to proper review. Warehouse Management also accommodates returned items, allowing users to issue and track by Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) numbers. Users are given the option to distribute returned items to separate bin locations designated for returned or damaged goods. Powerful inquiry programs display critical data such as quantities produced, shipped, onhand, billed, and returned by plant, job, line, and item. Furthermore, users can drill down to view detailed history on any of these data elements.
