CRC Information Systems Releases New Kitting Module

Press release from the issuing company

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (August 1, 2002)–CRC Information Systems, Inc. (CRC) is pleased to announce the release of its new Kitting module – the latest edition to CRC’s comprehensive line of fulfillment-specific solutions for the graphic arts industry. This new module allows CRC customers to create product kits which can be inventoried, tracked, and sold at the kit or component levels. Kit components can consist of either finished goods or raw material inventory items. When a release order is generated for a kit, THE System’s Finished Goods Order Entry module determines whether or not on-hand levels of component items are sufficient enough to fulfill the order. THE System will automatically list for the user any component items that must be ordered or produced to satisfy the release. However, minimum stocking levels can be established for both the kit and its component items which can be used to generate a re-order point analysis to help eliminate most shortages. The kit and all component items are listed on the pick ticket, packing list, and invoice for convenient order verification. Inquiry features allow users to easily review all kits on order down to the component level and all components can be quickly tracked back to each kit for which it is required. The Kitting module can be configured to relieve kit or component inventory levels either during shipping or invoicing and is seamlessly integrated with THE System’s Finished Goods Inventory, Finished Goods Order Entry, Job Invoicing, and Shipping & Receiving modules as well as all of CRC’s Internet-based, e- fulfillment modules.
