KPG Names Doug Edwards Corporate VP, Research & Business Development

Ira Goldman appointed Senior Director, Business Development and Strategic Assessment Norwalk, Connecticut, USA – Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) today announced the appointment of Dr. Doug Edwards as Corporate Vice President, Research and Business Development. Edwards, currently KPG’s Vice President, Research and Development, assumes additional responsibility for guiding KPG’s strategic planning and business development. "Helping customers succeed is one of KPG’s primary objectives, and Doug has the vision and technical skills to ensure that KPG’s R&D pipeline and business strategies are in sync with the needs of the marketplace," said Jeff Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer. "His extensive background in both marketing and research is ideally suited for this new role." Edwards joined KPG from International Paper in April 1998, having spent three years with worldwide responsibility for technology and product development as Horsell-Anitec’s Director of Research and Development. He has also held senior marketing and research positions in the imaging chemicals, colorants and photographic businesses of Zeneca, ICI and Ilford, Ltd., and Ciba Geigy. Edwards holds a B.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of London. In announcing Edwards’ new responsibilities, Jacobson also announced the appointment of Ira Goldman to Senior Director of Business Development and Strategic Assessment, reporting to Edwards. Goldman, whose tenure with KPG dates back to the Company’s formation in January 1998, most recently served as Director of Business Development. Before that, he served as Worldwide Director of Marketing-Film. "Ira has made invaluable contributions in both the areas of strategic development and as the leader of our film business in the early years of the Company," Edwards said. "I look forward to working closely with him to craft the best business alliances and strategies to foster success for both our customers and the Company."
