CompUSA to Offer Free InDesign Training in 70 Markets Across U.S.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--July 22, 2002--Adobe Systems Incorporated, the leader in network publishing, today announced that CompUSA has made Adobe InDesign 2.0 software available at its nearly 220 stores nationwide. InDesign 2.0 is the first high-end professional layout and design software for graphic designers, production artists and print professionals available to CompUSA customers. CompUSA is the leading retailer and reseller of personal computer-related products and services in the United States. To further serve the professional layout and design market, CompUSA also will become an Adobe Certified Training Provider, offering free InDesign 2.0 training throughout its network of training centers in the United States. The free training course will give customers an introduction to InDesign 2.0 including: navigating the user interface and tools, setting beautiful type, working with transparency and graphics and creating tables. Additionally, to gain familiarity with InDesign 2.0, CompUSA Trainers certified by Adobe will teach users how to print InDesign files and export to the Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). The four to six hour training sessions increases the training resources available for InDesign 2.0 users. Product and Course Availability Adobe InDesign 2.0 is now available at all CompUSA stores nationwide. Registration is now open for classes starting in August and running through Feb. 28, 2003. Training sessions will be offered two times per month at each of the 70 CompUSA training regions in the United States. Training is available at no charge by CompUSA for Adobe InDesign 2.0 customer with coupon who purchases the product through any reseller, including upgrades, cross-grades, licensing, and full units, from Jan. 21, 2002 through Jan. 31, 2003.
