OKI and Best Sign Agreement for Short Print-Run Solution

Krefeld, March 26, 2002 -- Best GmbH, provider of software solutions for the printing and publishing market, and OKI Systems Deutschland GmbH, manufacturer of LED (light-emitting diode) printing systems, have signed a partnership agreement to equip the LED printer OKI C9400 with the technology to run off short production jobs. The solution, consisting of the OKI C9400 printer and the Best Colorproof software, will be presented at the OKI booth (hall 23/A32) at the CeBIT 2002 taking place in Hanover from March 13 to 20. What is special about the solution? With a print speed of 21 ppm, a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi and able to handle paper of up to A3+ , the OKI C9400 is predestined for short-run productions. Best Colorproof is a professional solution for inkjet, LED and laser printers and incorporates the ICC color management standard. The software is able to simulate any printing process or device on an existing printer. Furthermore, it helps overcome the difficulty of color communication between customer, agency and print shop and can produce an exact prediction of the subsequent print result at any time.
