MOBILE, Ala., March 19 - MINOLTA-QMS, Inc. today announced the promotion of Stephen Fletcher to president and chief operating officer. In his newly appointed position, Fletcher will assume full responsibility for the daily management of the company. "In Steve's previous position as president of the Americas group, he significantly boosted our color laser printer sales, with shipments in recent months almost five times the average set in the year prior to his arrival,'' said Shoei Yamana, CEO and chairman. "His proven experience makes him the perfect candidate for this leadership role.'' Prior to joining MINOLTA-QMS in April 2001, Fletcher was president and CEO of the Tally Printer Corporation of Seattle, Washington, a manufacturer of high-speed line matrix printers.
