Proforma Achieves Record Growth in 2001, Exceeds $200 Million in Sales

Press release from the issuing company

CLEVELAND, March 11 - Cleveland-based Proforma, a leading provider of graphic communications including: promotional products, commercial printing and business documents, has announced a record-breaking year for sales and membership growth. Proforma's 600 independent owners and members exceeded $200 million in sales last year, more than a 14 percent increase over 2000 levels. "We have experienced unparalleled growth for our industry during the past five years,'' says Greg Muzzillo, founder and CEO. "Network-wide sales have consistently risen as we have continued to add new members at a record pace.'' During 2001, Proforma added 10 new members per month to the company. Through the company's Worldwide Support Center, each Proforma member has access to a help desk, free credit insurance, collection support, mergers and acquisitions support, accounts receivable/accounts payable services, vendor sourcing and a complete portfolio of sales and marketing tools and programs generated by the network's multi-million dollar Marketing Fund. Last year, more than 40 of Proforma's members achieved annual sales exceeding $1 million dollars. Five of those members surpassed $5 million in sales. "What's most impressive about the Proforma Million Dollar Club is that each member has an average of only three employees,'' says Muzzillo. During the fourth quarter of 2001, Proforma set a new quarterly sales record with over $50 million in network-wide sales. "The advantages of affiliating with a company that offers tangible marketing and operations support is fueling our overall growth,'' says Muzzillo. "A Proforma member benefits from sales, marketing, administrative and financial support that frees them up to concentrate on building their businesses.'' Mergers and acquisitions also played an important role in Proforma's 2001 success. With Proforma's support, members completed 45 mergers and acquisitions in 2001, resulting in $14 million in sales, up from $7.1 million in 2000. Proforma also continued to build its PLP (Preferred Limited Partner) program in 2001, adding 50 new vendors. These limited partners enable Proforma to efficiently provide every type of printed material, promotional product and business document to its customers. Proforma is a leading provider of printing, promotional products, business forms and e-solutions. Over the years, Proforma has been awarded numerous top industry honors in the business services category and is recognized as one of the top distributors of business documents, forms and promotional products. The Proforma Worldwide Support Center is located in Independence, Ohio, ten miles south of downtown Cleveland.
