Thursday, March 07, 2002

Press release from the issuing company

WILMINGTON, Del.---March 6, 2002--DuPont Ink Jet, a leader in ink jet textile printing, and Monaco Systems, Inc., a leader in color management technology, today announced a joint marketing agreement. Under the terms of this agreement, DuPont Ink Jet will license ICC profiles created with Monaco Systems' software to ship with the DuPont Ink Jet 3210 printer. This combination will enhance the digital workflow for textile printing provided by the DuPont Ink Jet 3210 printer using the DuPont Artistri color control & management system (CCMS) and DuPont Artistri ink. The DuPont Ink Jet 3210 printer, powered by the DuPont Artistri color control & management system and DuPont Artistri ink, is the first integrated digital textile printing solution created especially for the wide-width home furnishings market. DuPont Ink Jet customers can reduce the elapsed time from design to production, from weeks to days using the DuPont Ink Jet 3210 printer. DuPont Ink Jet will use Monaco Systems' MonacoPROFILER to build profiles specifically for the DuPont Ink Jet 3210 printer and bundle them with the printer. These profiles will further reduce the design-to-production cycle, thus saving time, money, and resources. "Monaco Systems is extremely proud to work in close collaboration with DuPont Ink Jet,'' said George Adam, CEO and founder of Monaco Systems, Inc. "Combining our strong color management expertise with DuPont Ink Jet's proven knowledge of printing in the textile industry is a winning combination for both of us. The textile printing market will continue to benefit from DuPont Ink Jet's superior printing solution, with accurate color matching and predictability.'' MonacoPROFILER, the color management solution for professionals, now provides additional expert controls to offer you the most comprehensive profiling system available. With its wizard-like interface, users have one integrated solution providing the ultimate control in creating high quality ICC profiles for input devices, monitors, and color output devices. The newly updated MonacoPROFILER version 4.0 lets users build profiles for all their devices, including LCD flat panel displays and digital cameras. As the premier profiling solution to offer true, eight-channel profiling, the latest version now boasts powerful new features that enable users -- including those using the Pantone Hexachrome ink set--to create, edit, and soft proof up to eight-color output profiles. With its expert level black generation, advanced UCR/GCR, and sophisticated profile editing, MonacoPROFILER is widely recognized as the ideal choice for high quality graphic arts professionals. The DuPont3210 printer, powered by the DuPont Artistri color control & management system and DuPont Artistri ink, is the industry's first fully integrated, production-capable system that combines speed, quality and affordability to make high-quality, short run printing possible and profitable. The system provides increased versatility and speed over other digital systems. It also reduces cycle time from weeks to days as compared to traditional rotary and flatbed screen systems. The DuPont Ink Jet 3210 printer offers the following features: * Prints at speeds from 30-60 square meters per hour. * Aqueous Pigment and Dye-based inks. * Roll-to-roll fabric handling system, providing the option to print on various fabrics (cotton, polyester, cotton/polyester blends, etc) with no paper backing required. * Prints fabrics up to 126 inches wide, with printable width up to 120 inches.
