ImageX Developing New Product to Expand Revenue Opportunities

Press release from the issuing company

Product to Focus on Production and Distribution of Channel Marketing Materials KIRKLAND, Wash., March 5 - ImageX, Inc., the leading provider of online solutions for distributing, managing and producing sales and marketing materials, today announced it is developing a new product focused on the production and distribution of marketing materials to sales channels. ImageX is expanding its focus and substantially increasing revenue opportunities by developing a new product, which will target large corporations that possess a need for a comprehensive marketing materials production and distribution solution. The marketing materials segment of U.S. printing industry is estimated by NAPL/PIA to be $35.1 billion, which represents a significant revenue opportunity for ImageX versus the printed stationery market. ImageX has developed a solid competency in the print production and distribution arena, and its new system is based on those core competencies, including: -- Building and managing online catalogs of digital assets, including product literature, stationery and other marketing collateral -- Electronic customization and versioning of marketing collateral and stationery -- Distributed purchasing of branded print via the Internet -- Automation of the print production process The new ImageX system will simplify and automate the production, management, and coordinated distribution of personalized sales and marketing collateral via a Web-based application. In addition, it will dramatically reduce the soft costs associated with deploying these materials to channel partners -- such as administrative costs, warehousing fees and obsolescence -- and will provide essential business intelligence by channel, such as ordering patterns and return on investment for marketing programs. "Most corporations with large, geographically dispersed third party sales organizations do not have an effective way to distribute current product specification sheets, brochures and other marketing materials -- information that is critical to successful sales cycles,'' said Tim Dowling, chief operating officer. "Our expertise in automation of printing processes will allow us to create solutions to help major corporations overcome this problem, while offering significant revenue opportunities for our company.''
