Standard Register Plant Wins Pennsylvania Governor Award for Safety

Press release from the issuing company

YORK, Pa.--March 1, 2002--Standard Register today was honored with the Governor's Award for Safety Excellence for the safety performance of its printing plant in York. The award, the highest industrial safety honor the State of Pennsylvania bestows, recognizes the plant for its track record of over six years without a lost-time injury. Employing about 300 people, the York plant produces business forms ranging from birth certificates to checks with more than 40 document-security features leveraging Standard Register's patented technologies to prevent chemical alteration, copying and other methods of document fraud. The plant's safety performance represents the safety record for the business forms industry. "We're very proud of the York team,'' said Peter Dorsman, Standard Register chief operating officer. "They committed themselves to worker safety, which is our top priority. And they succeeded, having six years of no lost-time injuries. The Governor's award is wonderful recognition of our team's accomplishment.''
