Press release from the issuing company

New ICC Profile Wizard lets users quickly find and download color profiles for their inkjet and thermal transfer devices. Irvine, CA. February 28, 2002 Roland DGA Corporation today announced the addition of five user forums to its website. Launched earlier this month, the forums allow customers to login and share tips and tricks about their equipment. Roland user forums include: * Inkjet printers * 3D scanning and milling machines * ColorCAMM thermal transfer printer/cutters * Engravers * Vinyl cutters “The forums have quickly created a valuable online community,” said Rick Scrimger, Roland Senior Product Manager. “Customers are already flocking to the site and sharing information on everything from machine operation and maintenance to substrates and profiles. The forums provide end users with an incredible resource.” In addition to the user forums, Roland has added an ICC Profile Wizard – a Web application that allows users to more easily download ICC color profiles for their Roland inkjet or thermal transfer devices. The dynamic new interface allows Mac and PC users to see profiles based on their choice of product, media and ink set. “We have a large number of profiles to accommodate the wide variety of media and ink set combinations currently available for each of our inkjet and thermal transfer units, and we are constantly adding new profiles to address the needs of our customers," said Bob Van Deusen, Roland Web Operations Manager. “The ICC Profile Wizard makes it easy for our users to filter through the large number of files and view only those relevant to their particular application.”
