Scitex Vision Opens Subsidiary in Mexico

Press release from the issuing company

Mexico City, Mexico, February 19th, 2002 – Scitex Vision is pleased to announce the opening of a brand new subsidiary in Mexico. Over recent years, Scitex Vision has conducted its operations and sales in Mexico through a local distributor. From now on, Scitex Vision Mexico (SVM) will be responsible for all local operations, functioning as a daughter company of Scitex Vision America (SVA). Gal Bachar has been appointed as General Manager of Scitex Vision Mexico and will oversee all Scitex Vision's activities in Mexico and throughout Central America. Juan Silva has been appointed SVM’s Marketing and Sales Manager and is supported by a professionally trained and experienced team. Scitex Vision Mexico has accomplished several outstanding business objectives in a relatively short time: from distributing Scitex Vision ink throughout Mexico, to importing machines, ink and spare parts from around the world to maintain its burgeoning warehouse. “The new subsidiary in Mexico will receive our complete backing and support, and SVA’s service department will work in full cooperation with Scitex Vision Mexico engineers,” commented Tim Weeldreyer, president of SVA. During November, Scitex Vision Mexico had the opportunity of displaying its colors at the Image World exhibition in Mexico City’s World Trade Center. Scitex Vision demonstrated multi-roll printing with the innovative Scitex XLjet 3 and printed hundreds of Mexican flags with the Scitex Grandjet S2, in honor of the upcoming World Cup playoffs between Mexico and Honduras. As a result, everyone was a winner - Mexico advanced to the World Cup, and several Scitex Vision machines were successfully installed in the last quarter of 2001.
