Imagistics Introduces New Digital DL650 Combination, High-volume Printer

Press release from the issuing company

TRUMBULL, Conn.---Feb. 19, 2002--Imagistics International Inc., formerly Pitney Bowes Office Systems, today introduced the DL650 - a 65-ppm digital copier/printer that is specifically designed for document-intensive environments in the general office or the central reprographics department. When the DL650 is connected to the network, it functions as a high-speed network printer, yet provides all of the advanced finishing and feature functionality typically found on an advanced copier. Powered by EFI Fiery X3TM technology, the DL650 fits seamlessly into standard network printer environments and supports both Adobe PostScript 3 and PCL6 for compatibility with today's most popular applications. Multi-position stapling, 3-hole punch and a wide range of folded booklets are simply a mouse-click or two away at the user's desktop. The DL650 adds the flexibility to distribute documents electronically and facilitates the sharing of critical information. When users need to convert printed documents into electronic files, the DL650 with Fiery X3TM technology implements sharing information by email, storing documents on a network server or on the Fiery X3TM hard disk drive, or by acting as a gateway into the document management system. The DL650 scanning application is TWAIN compliant and supports saving the scanned documents in a TIFF or Adobe PDF file format. "The DL650 is a highly efficient, reliable solution because users have the freedom to transform information more easily into multiple, high quality, finished printed documents directly from their desktop, while saving time and production costs,'' said Nathaniel Gifford, Vice President of Product Development and Marketing, Imagistics International Inc.
