Adobe VP Joe Eschbach to Keynote First Seybold PDF Conference

SAN JOSE, Calif.---Feb. 19, 2002--Adobe Systems Incorporated, the leader in network publishing, today kicks off nearly a week of activities in support of Seybold 2002 New York. To open Seybold's new PDF Conference on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, Adobe vice president of ePaper Solutions, Joe Eschbach, will be making a keynote presentation surrounding the evolution of Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) in the publishing arena. In separate announcements at the show, Adobe unveiled its new "Tools for the New Work'' advertising campaign and highlighted growing support among service providers and magazine publishers for Adobe InDesign 2.0 software, the new version of Adobe's award-winning professional layout and design program. "The increasing adoption of InDesign signifies an important shift in the tools that graphics professionals are choosing to become more productive and creative in the workplace,'' said Bruce Chizen, president and CEO of Adobe. In conjunction with today's InDesign announcements, Adobe is launching an InDesign 2.0 cross-grade promotion allowing owners of QuarkXPress 3.x and higher who upgrade to InDesign 2.0 to receive a rebate coupon for $300 USD.
