Conduct Color Management Workshop from IGI

Press release from the issuing company

Pewaukee, Wisconsin -- The Institute for Graphics and Imaging (IGI)—an education and training organization funded by and dedicated to the printing and graphic arts industry—will hold a color management workshop on February 10 and 11, 2009, at the IGI facility in suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  The course is designed for graphic arts specialists who need to move to the next level of color management.  Participants will use color measurement devices to create and verify both process and spot color profiles.  In addition, they will learn to troubleshoot pressroom issues and profile presses, as well as extract profile information and apply color curve software to determine conformance.

The IGI color management workshop will be conducted by David Hunter, a veteran graphic arts industry color expert.  Hunter, who was responsible for the Graphic Arts business segment for Aldus Corporation, is the principal of Pilot Marketing, a graphic arts consultancy specializing in high end color training.

Announcing the color management workshop, IGI Executive Director Ron Dahl commented: “The Institute for Graphics and Imaging is pleased to inaugurate its 2009 training schedule with a hands-on, practical color workshop suitable for everyone printing color.”
