Print Distributor SCEP Offers On-Line Ordering/Tracking System

Press release from the issuing company

GLENDALE, Calif.---Feb. 12, 2002--In their quest for finding new ways to assist their clients, Southern California Envelope & Printing, Inc. (SCEP) of Glendale, California, has recently implemented a new on-line order processing system. Using a secure access password system, customers can place, view and approve proofs for more simple items, release inventoried stock, place re-orders of past jobs, even making minor editing changes if they wish. Clients can also track open orders as well as the amount of printed stock or masters they have on hand, whether the materials are stored at SCEP or in-house. According to Marcy Roschitsch, co-owner of SCEP, "The tracking function allows clients to maintain inventory reports to be sure they don't run low on materials. It also facilitates their tracking of usage by various departments within their company. The usage reports assist our clients in cost accounting for items used by all departments in various quantities.'' Also included in the system is e-mail for quoting new print jobs. By using the system, clients are able to realize a cost savings in terms of not having to keep a large inventory on hand, but rather ordering materials only as needed. Clients also gain more control and save time, not having to worry about reaching a sales representative in order to view and approve proofs, place or track their print orders or release stock from inventory. With the ultimate goal of providing improved customer service and freeing up sales personnel for more marketing opportunities, SCEP has already seen a positive change. In place since May 2001, "This new system helps us to provide more efficient customer service and expedite work orders, as well as facilitate the clients' purchasing process, saving them time, money and stress,'' says Roschitsch. Founded in 1996, SCEP is owned by husband-wife team Josef and Marcy Roschitsch, and is located in Glendale with an additional office in Norwalk. SCEP serves businesses in Southern California as a printing and promotional items distributor. SCEP specializes in the task of matching the type of job, the client's budget, the timing of the job and the quality required, to the printer or manufacturer who can do the best job to meet those specifications.
