Preview Graphics will become a service business within the Creative Professional Division of Xyron, Inc. The Preview System will be integrated into the current creative professional product line. Facilities in Irving, Texas and Sandy, England will be maintained. Preview offers a high-quality, in-house concept proofing system for use in the packaging design and short-run printing industries. Xyron's worldwide salesforce will offer the Preview System as a complete solution, initially with a RIP and color laser printer, as well as market Preview's professional packaging design and comping services. This process can print to virtually any packaging substrate including holographic board and label materials, transforming digital artwork into finished shrink sleeve cans and bottles, cartons, labels, and corporate design materials. The Preview System 500 expedites the design review process and shortens the time to bring new and revised products to the store shelf. The Preview System involves only a few simple steps. The designer prints digital artwork via the color server to the color laser printer on specially formulated Preview paper. The output is then positioned over the final production stock of choice and passed through the Preview Workstation where the image is transferred or fused from the Preview paper to the production stock without the loss of color or quality to the image. Additional passes through the Preview System can be made to apply production spot metallic foils, hologram patterns, and white on clear, all with the option of matte or gloss finish. Completed artwork can then be hand-finished into three-dimensional products that incorporate the "look and feel" of production without the cost of traditional printing methods.
