Friday, January 25, 2002

Press release from the issuing company

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Mr. Daniel Walters, President and C.E.O. of Skinny Technologies Inc. reports that the Company has reached an agreement with software developerWhere?Media inc. to release an internet based Digital Asset Management (D.A.M.) System for the digital prepress market. The proposed system will enable print publishers, service bureaus, advertising agencies and printers to exchange high resolution prepress files over the internet using Skinny's enabling SkinnyScriptOtechnology. Under the terms of the agreement between the two Canadian companies, Skinny Technologies will private-label a customizedversion of Where?Media's ImagePortalOinternet digital image management software which will entitle Skinny Technologies tosell the product through its sales channels. Where?Media inc. is a privately held Canadian software developer and application service provider (ASP) specializing in offering internet and enterprise digital image management solutions to over 30 different imaging markets. Where?Media President and C.E.O. Benoit Maneckjee had this to say about the new partnership: "I believe that combining SkinnyScriptOimage encoding with our digital image management products and services could play an important role in generating new market opportunities for both our firms. Through this partnership agreement, Skinny Technologies will not be required to invest in R&D and virtually eliminate time to market on its Digital Asset Management (D.A.M.) product. This first collaboration between our two firms should pave the way for deploying SkinnyScriptOwithin other markets and applications in the future.'' Stated Skinny Technologies President and C.E.O. Daniel Walters, "I have seen a working prototype of the new Digital Asset Management System and expect to have the D.A.M. service up and running on our new servers hosted by Data Fortress within one month.'' The new Digital Asset Management Portal will initially be offered to North American magazine and catalog publishers through CopyDot Prepress Inc., a prepress services bureau currently being acquired by Skinny Technologies. Recent Private Placement Financing Now Closed Skinny Technologies Inc. also announces that the recent $337,000 private placement financing has now closed.
