Wednesday, January 23, 2002
Liberty, Missouri - The International Publishing Management Association (IPMA) is pleased to welcome Steve Price to the staff of IPMA’s Marketplace. Utilizing the collective purchasing power of the in-plant printing industry, the Marketplace negotiates national buying programs that offer significant savings on some of the most-commonly used printing consumables and related products. Price will assist John Zeglinski, director of IPMA’s Marketplace, in the expansion of programs and services offered to in-plant managers. A 1991 graduate of the University of Richmond, Price has spent much of the past decade on the merchant/distribution side of the paper industry. After starting as a customer service representative with Clifford Paper in New Jersey, he moved to WWF Paper Company in New York City to pursue merchant sales opportunities. In the late nineties after a brief association with Milton Paper in New York, Price accepted the position of territory manager for the Mid-Atlantic region for Fraser Papers, selling text, cover, and commercial grades. Price has worked very closely with end-users, commercial/in-plant printers, and graphic designers throughout the country. Utilizing these relationships along with strong ties in the mill community, he has developed and incorporated many value-added, consultative, and cost-conscious programs with consumers of paper, keeping their many diverse needs in mind while helping them navigate today’s hectic and ever-changing marketplace.
