Ganger and Farquharson Go On the Digital Road with Heidelberg USA

Press release from the issuing company

Kennesaw, GA, January 14, 2002 - Zooming to a town near you... Heidelberg has taken to the open road with a digital road show aimed at educating existing customers and prospects. Teaming with speakers Bill Farquharson from Print Tec and ePrint Advantage's Peg Ganger, the road show seminars focus on personalized marketing through variable data and the opportunity of selling digital printing.  Seminar topics include industry and life trends that are driving the opportunity for personalization of direct marketing programs and expanding direct mail business opportunities. The seminars offer an overview of variable data printing and an explanation of versioning and personalizing, with case studies of each. Discussions regarding the priority of personalized direct mail marketing will be held in conjunction with a seminar on the return on investment for personalized vs. non-personalized marketing campaigns. The seminars also cover marketing executives' reasons for investing in personalization. "I've been discussing the industry and life trends that are driving the opportunity for personalization of direct marketing programs. To date, everyone's been eager to learn and has found the information helpful," said Peg Ganger, vice president, ePrint Advantage.  The seminars are offered as a business development and training opportunity for Heidelberg customers at no cost. Depending on the location, two seminars are offered each day -- one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Attendance has been favorable to date, averaging 50 people per seminar. "The road show events have been well attended, which demonstrates the ongoing thirst for sales and marketing information for digital and variable data printing," said Richard Sand, business development manager, Heidelberg USA. The road shows are popular among Heidelberg customers.  "The road show allowed me to look to the future and gave me a new way to direct our business, in a most efficient and economic way," said a Boston road show attendee. Print Tec President Bill Farquharson said, "The reaction has been great!  We run out of time before we run out of digital sales and marketing ideas to share." Not only have the road shows increased the knowledge awareness of Heidelberg customers, they have also testified to Heidelberg's long-standing reputation of customer satisfaction and quality service. Attendees report that they think the road shows are a great way to establish a relationship and learn more about the digital advantage. They provide them with the opportunity to understand more fully Heidelberg's product offerings.  Heidelberg held road shows in Seattle, Boston, San Francisco and Denver. The following road shows are scheduled through March 7, 2002. For more information or to register, contact Jeff Ellis at Heidelberg USA at 1-888-472-9655, extension 6283.
