ROCHESTER, N.Y.--Jan. 14, 2002--Eastman Kodak Company today announced the appointment Regina Pizzoli as Chief Executive Officer of ENCAD, Inc., a recently acquired manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers. The appointment will become effective immediately following the closing of the acquisition of ENCAD, anticipated later this month. Kodak will reposition its wide-format inkjet business, formerly part of Kodak Professional, within ENCAD, which will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kodak reporting into the Commercial Imaging Group. Terry Vandewarker, currently the President and CEO of ENCAD, Inc., will become the President of the combined subsidiary, reporting to Pizzoli. Pizzoli is currently Regional Business General Manager of the U.S. and Canada region for Kodak Professional and a vice president of Kodak. In her new position, she will report to Carl A. Marchetto, President of Commercial Imaging, and a senior vice president of the company. Pizzoli, 43, joined Kodak in 1989 as an industrial engineer in the company's Office Imaging business. She has held a variety ofmanagement positions in Document Imaging, Digital & Applied Imaging and Health Imaging. From 1994 to 1998, she was Regional Business General Manager and vice president of Document Imaging for the Greater Asia Region, based in Japan and later Australia. She represented Kodak as a board director for Hermes Precisa, a 51% Kodak-owned subsidiary and the largest document imaging service bureau within Australia. During her tenure in Asia, she was also a board member for two joint venture Imaging Center businesses in China. In January 1998, she was appointed Regional Business General Manager and vice president for the U.S. & Canada Region of Health Imaging. Subsequent to the acquisition of the Imation Medical Business in November of 1998, she assumed additional leadership responsibility for the newly integrated portfolio within the region. She was named Regional Business General Manager for the U.S. & Canada Region of Kodak Professional and elected a vice president of Kodak in 2001. Prior to joining Kodak, she held positions with General Motors Corporation, Sykes Datatronics, Combustion Engineering and the May Company. She holds a B.S. degree in industrial administration from General Motors Institute, and an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology. In 1999, she graduated from the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme.
