Press release from the issuing company

FAIRFAX, VA–Organizers are putting the final touches on DPI '02, the Digital Printing & Imaging Association's (DPI) tenth Annual Conference & Exhibit, March 6-9, 2002, in Palm Springs, California, USA. DPI '02's Digital Expo – the premier showcase for the large-format digital imaging and output industry, its output equipment, technology and consumable supplies – will be housed in the Palm Springs Convention Center, and will open it doors from Thursday, March 7 (1:00 pm to 5:30 pm) and Friday, March 8 (10:00 am to 5:30 pm) to Saturday, March 9 (9:00 am to 12 noon). Highlights of the 40-seminar Educational program at DPI ’02 include daily Key Expert Panels (discussing the Business Environment for Digital Graphics on Thursday, March 7; the Business of Your Business on Friday, March 8; and Business Opportunities on Saturday, March 9). Daily Challenge Sessions with graphics producers discussing their own "war stories" and engaging the audience in a dialogue to further explore common problems and effective solutions will feature "The Challenges of Marketing" (Friday, March 8), "The Challenges of Soft Signage" (Friday, March 8); "The Challenges of Grand Format" (Saturday, March 9) and "The Challenges of Point-of-Purchase" (Saturday, March 9). Author and marketer Marc Slutsky will present "Street Fighter Marketing: How to Get Clients," as the address at the DPI '02 Keynote Luncheon on Thursday, March 7. DPI ’02 offers a wide range of networking, peer-to-peer events from the DPI Golf Classic and Welcome Reception on Wednesday, March 6, to Daily Round-Table Discussion Breakfasts starting each Conference day (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, March 7-9), and Awards Luncheon and presentation of DPI Products of the Year and winners of digital graphics excellence in the Andre Schellenberg competition on Friday, March 8, and the DPI "Turf Club" Party with video horse racing on Friday evening, March 8. Registration for DPI'02 DPI '02 attendees can sign up for Full Conference Registration … or build the Seminar/Social Package of their choice. While of course the Full Conference Registration is available, and most people will avail themselves of this option, a series of partial registration packages is also available this year. It is expected that this will bring many additional digital graphics professionals, those who can afford a day or so away from the shop, but not the time for the entire Conference. There are several options if one does not want to register for the entire Annual Conference. A basic registration package of three seminar tickets, or passes (your choice) plus one breakfast or lunch, can be purchased. And if additional sessions are desired, they can be purchased individually as add-ons to the basic package. The seminar pass is good for any educational session, and reservations for specific programs are not required. Register for DPI '02 online at DPI's website – www.dpia.org.
