Jim Midland, a Friend to Many, Passes Away Suddenly

January 7, 2002 - Jim Midland, Vice President of Technical Recruiting at Digital Action, Inc., passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 3, 2002. A thoroughly professional and well-liked veteran of the graphic arts industry, Jim had recently moved to Brewster, Massachusetts, where he resided with his beloved wife Linda, son McKeon and daughter Julia. Jim was very successful in recruiting after having made an impressive transition from service management to the highly competitive recruiting industry. He joined Digital Action in August 1999 after an accomplished career with Tech Services International, Barco Graphics, Scitex America, Seicom and Raytheon Data Systems. Jim had a rare mix of talent spanning from sales and marketing to service management, customer relationship management and overall leadership skills. He developed many strong relationships and friendships over the years, having a lasting impact on those with whom he came in contact. "Jim was highly respected and extremely well liked within the graphic arts industry and was known for his knowledge, professionalism, and style, which was always warm, gracious and gentlemanly," said Ken Diamond, President of Digital Action, Inc. "He had a particular talent for helping clients find the right candidates, while carefully insulating each side from the bumps that can occur during the hiring process.
