Onyx Graphics CEO Joins Monaco Systems as VP of Sales and Business Development

Press release from the issuing company

ANDOVER, Mass.--Dec. 17, 2001--Monaco Systems announced the appointment of Neil Baker to vice president of sales and business development. Previously, he served as vice president of WebMiles and CEO of Onyx Graphics. Baker will oversee direct sales, reseller relations, and OEM partnerships for Monaco Systems' line of award-winning color management products: MonacoEZcolor, MonacoPROOF, and MonacoPROFILER. Baker's appointment comes at a time when Monaco Systems is experiencing revenue growth and is expanding its sales force to support this growth. Baker has more than 10 years of experience in sales and business development in the software, e-commerce and the consumer industries. As vice president of sales for WebMiles, he oversaw the development of the company's strategic alliances, partnership programs, and national business expansion. He developed and signed key partnerships with Ralphs (division of Kroger), Avis, Wyndham Hotels, and Zions Bank. Prior to joining WebMiles, Baker served as the president and CEO of Onyx Graphics, a Gretag Imaging software company based in Utah, where he was instrumental in the exceptional growth and profitability of the company. Responsible for managing all aspects of a 50-person division, Baker helped to achieve 45 percent revenue growth despite a slowdown in the market, as well as secured a leadership position for Onyx in the software imaging industry. Previously, as vice president of sales for Onyx, Baker implemented process controls, defined the company's sales strategy, forged strategic alliances, and increased revenues and profitability. Baker strategically implemented the first "family'' of software products, establishing the company as the worldwide leader for large-format digital color printing software with a larger installed base than all competitors combined. Baker directed the company through two years of revenue growth exceeding 30 percent per year with profit growths of 350 percent, culminating in the successful merger of Onyx with a Silicon Valley hardware manufacturer. Baker has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Utah.
