Milford, MA - December 10, 2001 FileFlow has announced dramatic changes for FastSend. Beginning January 2, 2002, a new automated version of FastSend will become available that eliminates all per-megabyte transfer charges. In addition, monthly server access will be priced at only $24.95 - down from $99 per month. Providing fast file transfer service to professionals such as printers, publishers, professional photo labs and their clients who handle high-resolution images, FastSend accelerates file transfers up to 25 times faster than bandwidth alone. Regardless of the sender’s Internet connection speed or file size, FastSend improves file transfer performance without relying on extra hardware, dedicated phone lines or broadband access. Macs and PC’s are both supported. "FastSend has been very well accepted by our base of approximately 1,700 users over the last 18 months. Many of them use the service every single day, paying a $99 per month subscription and ten cents per megabyte," said Richard DiStasi, Vice President of Sales for FileFlow. "With our new automation software products, we felt is was time to open the system to those who wanted to send files but had trouble predicting the cost of use." FileFlow’s new product, FastSend Pro, allows users to exchange files over the Internet with anyone anywhere in the world. FastSend Pro also automates the reception of files from clients and can direct received files to hot folders in a workflow management system. Access to the FastSend server, at $24.95 per month, includes up to 250 transfers (or 50-gigabytes of data) with no additional charges or hidden fees. FastSend is now packaged as an application so enterprises with higher volume requirements (or that need to facilitate transfers in multiple departments) can purchase multiple copies and budget costs effectively. FileFlow is also introducing FastSend Pro Client - an application that creates drag-and-drop file transfer icons for a FastSend Pro user’s most frequent clients. Customizable with the user’s logo, FastSend Pro Client is available in blocks of 10, 20, and 50 seats with prices starting at just $495 for a block of 10. "We’ve had several of our existing users testing the FastSend Pro Client since Print ’01," said DiStasi. "According to them, it has made fast file transfer a ‘No-Brainer’ for their clients. The FastSend Pro user configures a Portal with his logo and gives it to his client. When the client needs to FastSend a job, he or she simply drags the folder to the logo and FastSend does the rest." FastSend Pro Client is a self-contained application that does not require a particular web browser version or browser plug-in. According to DiStasi, existing FastSend users will benefit as soon as the change goes into effect. "No matter how much they’re spending now, purchasing FastSend Pro and FastSend Pro Client will eliminate their per-megabyte charges and reduce their monthly costs by at least $75 per month. For high-volume users, the savings will be much, much greater. At the same time, FastSend Pro makes fast file transfer more efficient for all their clients who want to send files online."
