Heidelberg Offers Superiority in One-pass Productivity

Press release from the issuing company

Atlanta, GA -- December 5, 2001 -- Heidelberg, the world's leader in printing and publishing solutions, announces the availability of its ProcessPlus Perfecting sample kit for sheetfed printers. Perfecting has become a very hot industry topic in the past few years, and Heidelberg is clearly leading in this important sheetfed segment -- a category Heidelberg created with the introduction of the eight-color four/four perfector in 1995. Since that time, well over 700 printers worldwide have experienced the profit potential of the technology in their own plants with the installation of a long Speedmaster perfector press. Now Heidelberg offers a Perfecting sample kit that demonstrates the benefits printers can gain from a Heidelberg press. Heidelberg has continually pushed the envelope and is also now leading in the five- and six-color segments with the installation of several 10- and 12-color presses. The convertible Speedmasters are available with options like inline coating units, closed-loop color and register controls, and automatic inking to speed make-ready and ensure highest quality. Their convertible design allows all the units to function as well in straight printing, effectively letting the printer gain two presses with the addition of only one machine.  The kit includes a variety of samples which convincingly demonstrate the high quality available with the Speedmaster perfectors. Heavy ink densities, coated papers, varnishing, and the use of PMS colors are all shown. In addition, several images allow the checking of cross-overs printed before and after sheet reversal, to prove that even demanding commercial jobs are now no problem with Heidelberg's perfecting presses. These samples are indications of the high quality products the Speedmaster presses can deliver for commercial printers, for applications ranging from annual reports to travel brochures and everything in between.
