UpFront 1.5 Released, Allows Import of JDF and Export of CIP3

Press release from the issuing company

Lynnwood, Washington — ScenicSoft has released UpFront 1.5, an update to its production planning tool. New features include the ability to import CIP4 Job Definition Format (JDF) files, and the ability to export CIP3 cutting data. UpFront 1.5 offers enhanced user guidance and assistance for both new and existing users. Its significantly advanced new toolbox turns the planning of even the most complex and challenging customer jobs into a fast, fun, and easy task. At its September public debut at Print 01 in Chicago, the completeness and depth of UpFront 1.5 impressed potential new users, while existing users were equally excited about the new and improved navigation control. Hands-on beta testers have also unanimously given the enhanced user interface their enthusiastic approval. Built-in intelligence in UpFront tracks the user’s most common decisions and establishes action defaults that are automatically applied when building new jobs. This dynamic memory function enables very notable execution shortcuts when building complex jobs and significantly benefits both novice and experienced users. UpFront 1.5 progressively adapts itself to the user’s logic, instead of the other way around.
