Reorganization Announced at Körber PaperLink in North America

Hamburg, Germany and Sheboygan, WI; November 30th, 2001 -- Körber PaperLink GmbH in Hamburg, a member of the international Körber Group, restructures its activities in the North America market due to the current market situation. This includes the reorganisation of all activities of Pemco Inc., manufacturer of packaging machines and the SHM folio sheeter program. It is considered to concentrate functions at Fabio Perini America, located in Greenbay/WI. Fabio Perini, based in Italy, is a 100% daughter company of Körber PaperLink and market leader for tissue converting products. The Pemco product portfolio will continue to be sold and supported on a worldwide basis by the existing Körber PaperLink sales organisations. This includes also the products of the other Körber PaperLink companies E.C.H. Will, Kugler-Womako, Wrapmatic, Fabio Perini, Casmatic and Diatec. In the future, Wrapmatic, located in Bologna/Italy and market leader of folio-size packaging machines, will be responsible for the development and the design of the packaging portfolio. These products will continue to be produced in the United States and Italy. The same applies to the SHM sheeter series which will also be produced in North America as well as in Italy. E.C.H. Will, market leader of cut-size sheeters and supplier of high performance folio sheeters, will be responsible for the development and the design of this product line. With these activities, Körber PaperLink is responding to changed conditions of the North American market and confirms its leading position as partner for equipment and services of the paper converting industry.
