Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, Pa., November 20, 2001— Now available is The 2001 GATF InterTech Technology Awards Commemorative Booklet that features this year’s award-winning technologies as well as all nominated technologies. This prestigious award honors innovative technology excellence for the graphic communications industries. Established in 1978 as an industry service, this award promotes an understanding of advanced technology in the graphic arts. The award has a proven history for predicting which technologies will have a major impact on industry production and profitability. This $10 Commemorative Booklet alerts readers to forthcoming technologies that will have a major impact on production and profitability. To obtain a copy of The 2001 GATF InterTech Technology Awards Commemorative Booklet, phone 800/662-3916 (U.S. and Canada) or 412/741-5733 (all other countries); fax 412/741-0609; or order online from the GAIN Bookstore. Indicate GATF Catalog No. 529501. Award recipients were recently presented with their Lucite™ sculpted star on October 27, 2001 during an award banquet held in conjunction with the GATF/PIA annual meetings in St. Petersburg, Florida. Nine innovative technologies were chosen from 38 nominations. Although GATF is the sponsor of the award and coordinator of the award process, the Foundation does not select the recipients. The award selection committee is comprised of industry technical experts and users. It not necessary to be a member of GATF to nominate or be nominated for an award. To qualify, the technology must be recently developed and proven in an industrial application, but not yet in widespread use. The deadline for next year’s nominations is May 31, 2002. The entry fee for each nomination is $1,250. For additional information on the award or to receive a nomination form, contact Frank Scott, vice president and director of research, by phoning 412/741-6860 extension 584, faxing 412/741-2311, or emailing [email protected].
