Xeikon Continues with Business as Usual

Mortsel, November 19 - 2001. - Xeikon (NASDAQ: Xeik) announced that since the creditor protection the company filed for on Friday, 11/9, Xeikon's headquarters in Belgium and in France continue to operate in a business as usual mode. Xeikon's subsidiaries in Germany, UK, Japan and the US have not filed for creditor protection and continue to operate normally as well. Xeikon, its subsidiaries and distributors have taken all necessary measures to ensure continuity in manufacturing, service, consumables, spare parts and other support to its installed base and its distributors. Meanwhile, discussions with interested parties continue to take place. Xeikon France has been granted creditor protection for 3 months on Tuesday, 11/13. For Xeikon Belgium, the court plans the next hearing on Tuesday, 11/27.
